Two days on and an extra 75cm across the lake's surface (about 1300 megalitres) I had another bo peep. This time taking another fella with me that has the unenviable job of being the only Fisheries officer in 1,000 kilometres. A cooks tour of the fishery so as to speak.

The lake responded and turned it on for him. My hands are a 1000 cuts and my right shoulder feels like it's being humping roof tiles all day rather than wielding a rod. The pics tell the story -

Not hungry Brad, check out their condition, just plain ornery and looking for a fight, that's all. Some even thought they were trevally, some reckoned they were spaniards and others did a pretty good barra impersonation

Sensational pictures! Fishing in scenery like that with mates and catching some aggressive fish is what it's all about.

...and it just makes my job sitting behind a computer all day long just that much harder.

Great Shots, I especially love the one of the fish chasing the fly. Wonderful to see that the dog loves the action too....
