Just over 29 000 MRC, that's some good numbers Geoff.

Do you know about what the catch rates are with the MRC from members?

Dave
3 have been recorded from the the boating access area, a little tacker 25 cm one approx 50 cm and one approx 90 cm.
5 from the bank at various locations.
2 caught during electrofishing below the dam.
1 fish rescued from the pool below the dam.
Probably would be more unreported.
Pic is of one of the two electrofished during lungfish relocation.
1 was caught by a fly fisherman in the pool below the dam years ago saw a pic 50 cm at most.

cheers
Steve

Thanks Steve,  :thanks

Good to see they are doing well, even the ones that have gone over the wall.

The catch rate is not that great but then again there haven't been that many stocked compare to the other species.  Also, maybe they are preferring locations that lie in the no go zones which would also decrease the catch rate given the small area we can fish in there.  I'm still to get one and that along with a ......... Toga...... (hooked many but not landed arrrrrrgggggghhhhh) would be a milestone for my fish species checklist.

Either way it is good to know they are there and you might just get onto one some day.

That 80cm model during the lungfish rescue was a great find and I reckon would be a great challenge on the gear I normally take into NPD.

Cheers

Must have Wes. Tide wasn't right according to Steve. Try early next week when they are better.
