Kurwongbah - Do I need a permit or SIP to fish the bank ?
« on: February 03, 2012, 05:09:56 PM »
As the heading says just wondering whether I need a permit or SIP to fish the bank at Kurwongbah ? I know I can't launch a kayak or presume any type of floatation device Floaties ::) but what's the deal if I want to try and have a fly fish at the moment. Having never been there also where would be a good place to start assuming the edges are weed bound and can you fish by the dam wall (I doubt it but no harm asking). I was thinking maybe some bass or togas may be up in the flooded margins hunting insects. Cheers Pat.

If you want to fly fish either try Mick Hafling park, or sneak in off ski road Plenty of room "behind " at both spots. Bit hard near the wall.

Must have Wes. Tide wasn't right according to Steve. Try early next week when they are better.
