Sofala and Oberon branches of CAS in major fish releases

On Saturday 10 January Sofala branch of Central Acclimatisation Society released 3,030 Murray cod and 2,272 golden perch into the Turon River at 10 approved release sites, and Oberon branch released 1,515 Murray cod into the Fish River at three approved sites.
The fish were purchased from Murray Darling Fisheries using dollar-for-dollar funding from the Recreational Fishing Trust (money from fishing licences) and donations from the Sofala and Oberon branches of CAS to enhance recreation fishing oppertunities in the area.
