Title: Dumaresq River @Texas 22.6.13
Post by: Novice on June 23, 2013, 11:23:58 AM
Bushwacker and I drove down to Texas Friday afternoon and camped overnight , fished Saturday, and home by 8.30pm. The Dumaresq had a pulse of fresh Thursday week ago, levels were still up a little from normal and water clarity was poor. Hence luring for Murray Cod was very hard going. Lures with rattles and spinnerbaits only ended up with us landing 1 cod each. After a particularly foggy cold morning , the day turned into a nice sunny one with only the slightest hint of a breeze. Although the fishing was slower than normal, still a very enjoyable day.

Mine fell to a Mudbug

Back at camp, the launching bank was unworkable due to the high water levels.

Hence we had to do the entry and exit the hard way.

Cheers,
Dave.

Needs to clear up a bit more too. This 'out of season' flow may of confused them a bit. Let us know how you go.

Cheers,
Dave.

No worries Dave I'll be there for about 3-4 days so should scare something up in that time.
Cheers,
John
