Title: Rock bar barra
Post by: Dick Pasfield on January 27, 2012, 10:50:31 PM
Finally just enough rain to get rivers to flow just a bit, it’s been dry Dec and Jan.  I took some time this arvo to see if there were any fish mooching around.  This one hit just on before dusk on about the last cast.  The fish was sitting in the flow just below a small drop into a pool.  A nice finish to couple of hours and a good way to go into the weekend :thumbsup

Let it rest up for a while in a small pool before putting it back

Well done Dick, was there any particular lure you were using to do the damage amongst all those rocks, looks like a small plastic?

Cheers Dave

What an awesome backdrop to a great fish like that.  You seriously can't beat finishing off a day like that.

Good stuff Dick!

G'day Dave, that's the fly rod in the background with a big white fly thingie tied on to it (not much on names) about as big as I can possibly get and still cast on the 8 weight, my shoulder is a bit tight today ::)

It only scored me a couple of smaller fish

Got a belt from the fish earlier on a hollowbelly earlier that bounced off its teeth, came back an hour later a northern standard - lime green scorpion.  Couldn't resist.

If your not employed by the NT Tourism Dick you should be.

Fitzy could look at Sweetwater Bus trip one of these days and we can all come and visit.

In his spare time that is.
