Post by: bushwacker on August 13, 2012, 09:17:32 PM
Am friends with some people that keep Plymouth Rock roosters and hens amongst countless other chooks ducks and geese and occasionally something will get in a blue.

Im glad i told them to keep whatever comes off the Plymouth Rock!  :youbeauty

I've got a plymoth chook here. Can keep the fluff from it if it's worth it for anyone for fly tying...

Haven't noticed any, but will get the son to catch it this weekend and will see what we can find up close.

He might not have me beat just yet, but the gap is closing.....

I'm just older and (hopefully wiser), if I had to catch the chook I'd just use the 410 or the gaff to do it. Call it laziness, but it would be quicker and easier, although messy.

Nice range of feathers there, even a few dry fly ones by the look of it.  i have a little buff bantam chook that i trim from time to time.
