Had a session at Baroon yesterday, arriving to very blowy conditions. Tried trolling to start for zilch so swapped over to shrimp and tried to fish the points but found it to blowy and the anchor wouldnt hold, so started fishing the backwaters out of the wind. Each time I pulled up at a new spot it was only a matter of mins before the bass found me. I also ran into a few whopper tandans.
Managed 48 good sized bass, 6 tandans and 2 spangles from about 5 different backwaters. Then had to fight the wind back to the ramp.

I was up there earlier in the week, for just the one, had very little bait so let daughter soak most of it.
Must of tried hard to find somewhere out of the wind that still had water in it!
How did you go launching Dino.

No probs Andrew never even had to select 4 wheel drive. As the sand dries it is fairly solid. Was worried about the amount of people about and its a long way up the hill to get the car.
Last time I was there 2 women were talking while thier 2 children were touching things in my boat when I backed my trailer down the ramp and when I said something they nearly bit my head off. While they were talking the kids could of got a hook in the finger or whatever. Then they would of blamed me.

yeah, people have no idea what is always "to hand " in boats. Dangerous places for unsupervised kids!
