Warwick region fishing report 17/12/14

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been slightly quieter over the past week. Things really slowed down over the weekend, mainly due to the cooler weather. Anglers still managed to pick up a few nice fish but it was pretty tough going. One local angler caught and released 5 legal sized Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon while casting Piranhas around the structure. There was also a Murray Cod landed across from the Wall on a spinnerbait. Bait anglers had success in the deeper water in the main basin, with frozen shrimps being the most successful bait.
CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam was noticeably slower, with anglers landing a few nice Golden Perch and the odd Catfish on a variety of lures and bait. There was one legal sized Cod landed mid week on a spinnerbait.
MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM: Moogerah Dam was a little quiet due to the weather conditions. Anglers still managed to land some nice Bass on TN60 Jackalls, mask vibes, blades and Piranhas. We also had reports of some nice Bass and Golden Perch being landed on live shrimps.
RIVER AND CREEKS: With some lovely rainfall received over the past week, our local rivers and creek systems have had a much needed flow. This has caused the water to be quite dirty. However, as the water becomes clearer, the fishing will certainly fire up. We have had reports of fish being landed in numerous spots along the Condamine. One local angler managed to land a lovely 65cm Murray Cod to the east of Warwick on a cray.

John, Wayne, Karla and Doug would like to wish all their valued customers and friends a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Year. We look forward to seeing you all in 2015".
