Moogerah Dam's lower recreation area and track over dam wall re-opens

The lower recreation area and dam wall walking track at Moogerah Dam is re-open for public access, ahead of schedule, with the Stage 1a upgrade works at Moogerah Dam almost complete.
The upgrade works are part of our ongoing dam improvement program that commenced in June 2014. The project is currently scheduled to finish by late November 2014. It is anticipated that a temporary access closure will be required for one week in late November to complete final works.

The Stage 1a upgrade has involved dam anchoring works at the base of the dam wall to further improve flood security. The existing access to the spillway and valve house are also being upgraded to allow access for maintenance vehicles in all weather conditions.
