Hey evryone, I was heading down to the morwell/moe area in september and just was wondering if anyone knew what would be a good spot, and also what works best, ie. bait or lure ect, though I primarily want to use lures, I have my bass gear but I am looking at getting some trout gear , any suggestions?

Mate, I dont know the areas you are going to but I have collected some beautiful little lures in my travels thrugh trout country. Small hard plastics, designed for trout, one is obviously a small rainbow.
Very light so you will have to go very light in your line weight. Talk to a couple of tackle shops. This way you can cross check the info and sort out the bullshit.
Good fishing,
Gordon

Morwell River at Tanjil is good spot if you're targeting spotted ferals. Lots of little creaks in the hills around Mt Baw Baw.
Traralgon Creek around Calignee/Traralgon Sth is also a possibility, has been 30 years since I lived there but still looks fishy.
Day trip to Port Welshpool or Port Albert for a bit of Flathead/Bream fishing as well.
