Title: Copeton dam prospects
Post by: Bolgart on August 26, 2011, 05:18:03 PM
Does anyone have information regarding the prospect of catching fish at Copeton dam in mid September. I have only been there in May and have no idea re conditions, temperatures and fishability in September. Considering going there for School holiday period. Appreciate any feedback particularly potential for Cod.

Mate, in NSW the Cod season is over on the last day of August. Not so in Queensland impoundments though. I would suggest you go a little further North to Glen Lyon as it is under Queensland regs and you can fish there for Cod all year.  The Cod season re-opens in NSW on the 1st of December.
Cheers,
John

You can still go to Copeton Dam and catch Golden Perch & sd many Redfin as you like. Any caught must be released straight away.  :youbeauty
