Title: Local and Hinterland
Post by: dinodadog on October 01, 2012, 05:07:26 AM
Started the long weekend off OK with a trip down the local creek. Fish were a bit scarce to start with but managed to get a few as the sun came up. Also found the reason why the fish have beeb a bit scarce in this waterway, there was water entering the creek through a large pipe andthe fumes from this water when I paddled over it stung my eyes, so I dont think it would be helping the fish in this area. We are reporting it on tuesday.

Then off again sun morning to the GC hinterland to a comp between 2 grandsons Mack and Mitch. Took my mate Glen with me for a look around. Boys ended up a draw 3 all with a bit of help from Pop and then they were returned to the house so Glen and myself could catch a few. They are usualy a bit slow due to the water still being quite cold but we still managed several each, no monsters but good fun.
