Makes you wonder about the veracity of their warnings.
I was more than a little surprised to receive a text message this afternoon about the same subject.
On checking the gauge for the dam the water is hovering between 5 and 10 mill below the spillway
and its a while since it rained.
 Cheers
Ray

Good to see the levels there had really dropped a lot.
Also good to see a lot of other dams spilling and the outflow may allow bass to move over weirs to reach the brackish water to breed. Maybe they may let some go from Big W to flush fish past Mt Crosby.
Cheers

There's water being released from Lake Wivenhoe 24/7 Bass can go down stream any time they like, the problem is getting them back up so they don't become shark sh!t.

We don't really want hatchery bred fish breeding in the wild. As per guidelines from Qld Fisheries, we stock fish into Wivenhoe for recreational fishing enhancement, not for species restoration / conservation downstream.
