Spring time !
« on: September 01, 2014, 10:13:47 AM »
Good morning
Went down the road in morning for quick flick got my pb bass on tsunami 4 inch pearl white . These plastics are avalible from kmart . If u only use zman . Grab some opening night 4inch minnowz matched with head locks jig 1/8 oz 2/0 hook . For some reason the big bass cant resist the white bait sp . Must look like mullet the natural food source in upper reachs .
Cheers joseph

This morning got one small bass . Had to go up two sets of rapids to another part of the river. Its allways cool when you catch bass in new spot.

G-day
Went for flick on Friday afternoon, first chance had to go fishing all week. Got one small bass on jackall 38mm ghost gills lure. Was a nice surprise to land a fish on that shallow running jackall lure . I just changed the hooks to upgrade gamakatsu singles . Better for catch and release/ sport fishing . Been catching lots on sp baits so trying small hard body lures for a change . Will have to go in kayak soon cicadia surface lures are great to fish upstream.

Gday
Went fishing just before midnight it was 0% moon . Low light conditions but the bass were in a feeding frenzy. Hits on the water every few seconds. Got a small bass in few minutes on trusty old kokoda cicadia.

RiverHunter,

Well done on the bass, sounds like you have the bass sussed out on the preferred lure.

Good effort, Always better fishing from a boat, kayak, canoe or anything else that floats and water tight.

Cheers, Bondy
