Hey guys, need help on a motor. would there be much difference speed wise between a 115 h.o or a 130 both etecs because ive heard that the 115 h.o is rated to about 126 hp? any info or input would be great.

sorry i havent had any experience with larger outboards but wow man anything over 100 hp is a thumper

Toddo,
outright speed is dependent on many factors, but 130 should be faster on the same hull if the hull is designed and rated to 130hp.

 l have had the 115 .And l now have the 115HO .pm me with any questions that you might have. l may be able to help.

The major difference is the HO is factory worked and might be a bit sharper out of the hole
 The HO will use a bit more oil than the 130 is its expected that you are going to use it for sports use ;D Ie, flat out!!!
 Pretty much identical engine otherwise
