Recreational fishers: have your say on Gulf fishery
           

Late last month, Fisheries Queensland released for public comment a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) for one of Queensland’s last great fishing frontiers, the Gulf of Carpentaria.

I can't see any real problems with that, in particular the Black Jewfish. They have always had a big problem with barotrauma even from fairly moderate depths.
