It will be a new ball game with all the recent flooding.

But along the northern bank just east of the footbridge used to be alright, steep going though.

Little minnows work for me. If you snag any lures they're probly mine.
Cheers John.

G'day Jack,

Welcome to Sweetwater mate, have a look at past threads on catching Bass, not only in the creeks but in our local impoundments and you'll get some good hints on what lures to use etc.

The Caboolture R. fishes ok from time to time in the right conditions however, don't just limit yourself to that one river system as there is numerous creeks and estuaries that have resident Bass in them only a stones through from Caboolture. Places as west as Woodford that have other species stocked in the Stanley R. too, the many creeks that you'll pass heading north through the Glasshouse Mountains, right up to the Sunshine Coast, east and west of the Bruce Hwy, there's plenty of country to explore.

Good luck in your ventures as we look forward to reading your first report on SW. If you need further information, drop us a PM.

Cheers Dave
