Somerset Region Future - HAVE YOUR SAY
« on: November 04, 2010, 05:44:14 PM »
Somerset Futures

Have your say in the future development of trails and recreational opportunities in the Somerset region!

The Somerset Region includes great outdoor recreation locations including: Wivenhoe and Somerset Dams; large sections of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and access to Brisbane Forest Park. As such it is important that outdoor recreation users take this opportunity to be heard, ANLGER ESPECIALLY.

You can do this in one of 3 ways:
1. Fill in an Online Survey at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22B88SDD75K
2. Visit the Council website to find out more information and read the - Somerset Snapshot http://www.somerset.qld.gov.au/somerset-futures
3. Come along to the Somerset Futures community consultations:

I just did the survey, only took a minute. I put alot of emphasis on fishing in lakes Somerset & Wivenhoe & access to the Brisbane River. Also a good idea to mention a canoe trail on the Stanley River if you're doing the survey.

fitz..

Yep filled it on - my additional comments as follows -

Need access to the top end of Somerset dam for the public, either open up access to Runges road, (currently used Kilcoy fishing club only) or build a canoe / kayak launching facility at the bridge at villeneuve. An access point further up the stanley river so trips can be made one way (like a canoe trail)

Done  :youbeauty

Do we know if the results of this survey are going to be published?  It would be interesting to see.
