St.Croix rods
« on: September 23, 2010, 09:20:16 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with the US made St Croix rods? I went on their website and the one I was interested in is a 7ft 2-6lb (1-3kg) spin rod that would be ideal for Bass or Bream. The retail price is only about $110 US but I have seen the same rods for over $300 in Aus.

I have two of these rods and I love them.

One I made from a Rod Building kit, its rated 1 - 3kg and the other a bit heavier rod again custom made but by a Friend who is a rod builder, its an SCIII blank. Great action and it has caught me some big bass...

Cheers

Thanks mate, I thought they would be pretty good. A mate suggested looking at the the Skeet Reese rods but I'm not too sure about a rod named after a US Bass competitor. I reckon I'll order one of the St.Croix.
