Extra trailer parking at Ewen Maddock

Paddle craft enthusiasts who use one of the Sunshine Coast’s most popular dams now have new trailer parking.
The extra parking at Ewen Maddock Dam was one outcome from the most extensive review of South East Queensland’s dams and catchments ever undertaken.
The dam is a popular destination for paddle craft users and community feedback during the review highlighted the need for extra trailer parking.
To address this, Seqwater has changed the main car park so that it now has designated car and trailer parking spots. The bus parking area has also been improved.
Community feedback was a critical part of the ongoing recreation review.
Recreation activities at Ewen Maddock Dam and Lake Baroon were reviewed together, with high community interest in these lakes.
As a result of feedback the car park area now has dedicated placed for 4-5 cars with trailers (depending on size) in addition to the existing parking available to cars and horse floats.
