Title: Advice Needed: Fishing for Murray Cod in the NSW Tablelands
Post by: Jimothyk on January 07, 2015, 01:20:53 PM
G'Day,

I'm thinking of heading down to the tablelands area for a bit of camping and fishing in the granite belt, tablelands area some time next week.
I've only ever camped in the region once before but did not fish at all when I was there.

I'd like some advice on where would be a good spot to camp with access to good rivers or dams that hold good fishing, especially for Murray Cod.

Any help on good fishing locations and near-by camping grounds (either free camp or paid) would be great.

Thanks,

Jim  :thumbsup

this would be my first pick...  alot of the spots with public access have been flogged a bit so unless you know landowners on a river then something like this would be the next best.  They keep the numbers of fisherman to a limit and its all catch and release...
