Title: "The one that got away"- Fisho's went to council last night!
Post by: poddy mullet on August 23, 2011, 06:04:37 PM
Last night a group of recreational fishers and Macquarie River users took a stand and went to the council meeting to hear what they had to say.

It was rowdy, intense, and very successfull.
Missing documents, and plenty of of "I can't remeber's" from council.

Thanks to all those who support the bettering of our rivers here on sweet water! Your support and advice is greatly appreciated.

On the face of it, it appears to be a really good example of people working within their sphere of influence (and whilst doing it expanding the sphere) to reach a good outcome.

I find it a bit interesting that the DPI person wore a number of hats on the night, not sure if that would be as effective as totting the agency line and let others wear the community/angler hats, seemed to be plenty there.

If people are targetted for bringing out the truth, they will stand by truth, and will stand strong and tall. The liars and corrupt will become the targetted.

The council are now playing the man, not the ball, and trying to reprimand those who have brought the truth forward.
