Shrimps
« on: August 14, 2015, 10:08:16 PM »
Hi guys
If anyone is interested, I was in the Mitre 10 at Fernvale and they are now selling big shrimps.  $1.60 each or 10 for $15 I think
Some were big enough to cook up for lunch
Cheers

I didn't think they could sell yabbies as bait?  I see another tackle shop advertising them.  If anyone has their own dam it's worth putting some shrimp in them.  I put some in a farm dam a few years ago and it's  got a good supply now.  I also tried on my misses family Farms muddy creek last year and got good numbers.  50 plus a pull.  Worth trying any stream.

Legal to use blueclaw but not live redclaw outside their natual range, redclaw flesh is ok.
Cheapest place for live shrimp is Arratula redclaw farms $35 per hundred last time I got some.He delivers to Bne gold and sunny coasts once a week.

Cant use Redclaw flesh outside natural range Ray.

Yes no possession limit on shrimp now, cant use ANY bait dead or alive outside its natural range now.

Every leslie dam fishing report i see without fail reports " good catches on saltwater yabbies"

I questioned it but left it alone .... i did read somewhere as long as they are frozen but im still a bit confused...

i was under the assumption of what Elops said
