Boondooma Dam Report 2 February 2014

Dam Level 83%

Fishing
WOW what a week! The effects of tropical cyclone Dylan caused 6 days of wind and this made trolling very hard. The big fish headed down to the deeper water. The people who did venture out did it tuff but still landed plenty of fish. The change in weather caused a change in tactics this week. Spinnerbaits and vibes were back on the menu casting in the trees and at the banks. The fisho’s that put in the effort got some really good rewards. Redclaw were found in massive numbers up the Boyne and one customer reported 150 a night (12 pots). So this weekend brings our local stocking groups ‘Yellowbelly Family Fishing Classic’ and with the dam fishing well and big fish landed we are looking forward to a cracker of a weekend. Hope to see you all this weekend
