Hi Chad...

More than likely, it will slow down.  I suggest local winter knowledge and you cannot go past JM for that..

October for Awoonga & Callide could be excellent especially if warm Spring. I am pleased you are considering Callide as well when planning a trip to CQ - should be some new hidey-holes for Barra this Summer with the dam at about 100%

Good luck

Chad,
The river fish will bite when they want to, it'll pay to fish a few good hours each day. Don't expect the world, but surprises do come- the average size is very good. Regardless of water temp some of those fish will eat- water clarity might be the killer. If it gets clean, then you'll do it harder.

On the Awoonga front, June and July will be worth a crack as it cools and the core temp falls away. I'm thinking of a dash to Awoonga this afternoon. Best of luck.
