Probably couldn't hear me because of the rain on his tin roof!

Had 85 to 8am this morning when I emptied the rain gauge, had another 110 until 12 when I emptied it again, looked like a good 50 in at just on dark.  Gee it was dry, didn't even start to get run off from the yard until mid morning, probably after a good 100mm of rain!

I see Baroon is spilling now, rain has stopped up there, and is about to stop down here (if you believe the weather radar) Bit windy though, had one tree branch fall on the house, its done some damage as you can see where it has bent the guttering and  sprung the beading along the lining against the bricks, but no water inside thank goodness.

Looks like Work is flooded again quite badly thanks to "gotta let the water out", wasn't even a low tide in Enogera creek last night, dropped about a foot and then just kept going up.

I'm sitting in the tackle room and watching the Wilson River become a lake above Lismore. Can't see much bass fish getting done for while, hopefully it may have washed a few carp down to the salt. You have to hope SOME good can come of it.

I hear the Bremer river water is to thick for the Mt Crosby water treatment plant and it cant process it, so they are worried the south side of Brisbane will run out of water. (Gee didn't they just fire up the Desal plant last time to supply Brisbane?)  :popcorn)

Catch 22 situation now.  Do you release some clean water from Wivenhoe, flood some houses but provide drinking water to the masses, or do you continue to stop the flooding and deprive people of clean drinking water.  I wonder if the "class action" will take this into account as well.

Paul is a greedy man Dale

Never know, he may lead that one.

He did say he was happy about the release this time and his 6 houses were saved.

Dunno, was wondering about there water shortage today while we were running the 4 fire hoses washing the mud out at work -  perhaps Campbell shouldn't have mothballed the fancy treatment plant we paid billions for on the Gold coast!

Mind you - I didn't think about it to long, I new I would be having my shower tonight in water from the Pine  ::)

Why thank you Dale - Not my problem, not my community.

My problem was 30 employees sweating in the heat and humidity for the 5th time in three years shoveling creek mud out of their workplace. The fire hoses made it much easier and much safer. I dont care if a few people on the south side of Brisbane didn't have a shower last night because the Premier decided to save a few bucks and shut down water treatment plants.
