Roys Road....North Coast,Qld.
« on: November 26, 2010, 07:52:08 AM »
Not quite freshwater but I was wondering if anyone fishes the upper reaches of the river and how its going? I used to fish here quite often but a series of thefts and vanadalisms kept me away. Is the boatramp carpark still dirt? Is it still dangerous to leave your car and trailer there? Any recent info would be good. Thanks guys.

PS.....hows the mozzie population? :)

Randall.

Regards,

Randall.

Hey Randall,

When you mean the North Coast, I take it your meaning the Sunny Coast?

If it is the same place I'm thinking of, it's not as bad as it used to be I think in regards to vandalism. As for the Mossies, yeah, they're still bad. There's a camp ground there now before the boat ramp.

As for the fishing in the lower reaches I couldn't tell you however if you have a yak and want to fish the upper reaches, it's been fishing OK with a few fish caught every session we venture up there.
