Title: Lake Somerset Report
Post by: Sweetwater on November 20, 2012, 08:28:39 PM
Was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the Humminbird 360 surround sonar on Lake Somerset.

Found some good schools of bass around Pelican Point in on the southern side of Dead Tree Point (in Bay 13).

Nothing over 50cm but good numbers of bass caught.

Most were caught on plastics and a couple using jig spinners. Bass slowed down for a little bit so tried switching to Jackals or similar style rattlers despite plenty of them thrown, mot a touch, so went back to the plastics & back onto the bass. Didn't try blades, ice jigs, spoons, slices, fly etc, no need when you're already getting fish.

Shot some video of the hummnibrd 360 in use, will post it when I get my laptop back from the PC doctor.

For now, have attached some pictures showing screen shots from a Humminbird 788ci & a typical bass from the schools fished.

I passed the Humminbird boat on the way home yesterday and wondered if you'd been out playing.  Noticed a funny protrusion from the transom.
