Warwick Region Fishing Report 24 October 2013

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has slowed down slightly but anglers are still reporting on landing some nice fish.  One local angler reported on landing 4 quality Golden Perch and a legal sized Murray Cod on TN50 Jackalls.  We also received a report of anglers landing some nice Golden Perch on lures.  There were also some legal sized Golden Perch landed across from the wall in the rocky structure on shrimps and saltwater yabbies.

CONNOLLY DAM: Connolly Dam is still fishing well, particularly in the afternoon.  Anglers are reporting on landing both Golden and Silver Perch on live and frozen bait as well as a variety of lures.  The best area to try is on the points in the eastern bank where the weed isn't too thick.

MOOGERAH/MAROON DAM:  Moogerah continues to fish quite well.  There were some nice fish landed in the timber and off the edges while casting TN60 Jackalls.  There were also a few nice Bass landed at Maroon.  One local angler reported having success on TN60 Jackalls.

RIVERS/CREEKS: We have had reports of fish being landed in the Condamine River near the Wallace Street bridge.  There were also some Golden Perch landed in the river at the bottom end of Palmerin Street.  Another successful spot has been just below the Bacon Factory.  Most of these fish were landed on bait.  One angler also had success on Saturday morning on spinnerbaits out near the Lyndhurst Lane bridge.
