Villeneuve bridge on the Neurum Road is considered the northern extent of Lake Somerset . On the Kilcoy side there is a small pull over on the edge of the road where you can park and launch a kayak/canoe from . As of the 30th of March 2011 water clarity is okay for luring but not perfect . Pity the weather was poor while we were there . At the current water level height you can just squeeze a hobie outback underneath the bridge while seated .

Cheers,
Dave.

If you are lucky enough to gain access to the Stanley half way up folks please be gentle to the Cod as you release them.
They could be breeding here and this would have just happened, triggered by the recent flood.

Thanks, Gordon
