Title: Hinze Dam Western Boat Ramp Temporarily Closed
Post by: Graham Dodds on June 11, 2015, 10:05:03 AM
Hi All,

Be aware, the western boat ramp at Hinze is currently closed due to back burning in the area.

Found out yesterday morning when I got up there. The sign on the gate says closed until the 12/06/2015 but the link below says "until safe to access". Today's rain should make it safe.

Note to self - Check the SEQ website before heading up!!!!

We got 4 in the trees on the eastern side. They're getting bigger & bigger up there!

Cheers,

Doddsy

Hinze Dam – Western boat ramp closed due to planned burns

Date:
    02/06/2015

The western boat ramp at Hinze Dam will be closed from Tuesday 9 June 2015, due to planned burn in the area.

The Western Boat Ramp Access Road will be closed for the duration of the burn and will re-open once safe to do so.

A section of Nerang-Murwillumbah Road will also be reduced to one lane of traffic, during the burn period. Traffic control will be in place during this time.

Smoke hazard signage will be in place at various locations during and after the burn period to warn motorists and dam visitors.
