Warwick Region Fishing Report 3/2/15

LESLIE DAM: Leslie Dam has been a little quiet this week.  Anglers have managed a few legal sized Golden Perch but numbers weren't great.  One local angler landed 6 legal Golden Perch while trolling a 3D Yozuri in the main basin.  We received reports of some quality Silver Perch being landed in various spots off the bank, with live worms proving to be the most successful bait.  Frozen shrimps also accounted for a few Golden Perch in the main basin.

CONNOLLY DAM:  Connolly Dam remains steady, with numbers of legal sized fish being a little down on previous weeks.  One local angler had success while hopping mask vibes in the deeper water.  He managed to land 3 legal sized Golden Perch and a smaller Murray Cod.  Saltwater yabbies worked the best for the bait anglers.  We received reports of some quality Silver a perch being landed from the bank.

MOOGERAH DAM / MAROON DAM : Moogerah Dam continued to be busy with boating traffic over the weekend.  The timbered area is still proving to be one of the better locations to fish.  Anglers casting Imakatsu Piranhas and TN Jackalls had the most success.  Live shrimps worked well for the bait anglers while fishing in the gorge.

RIVER AND CREEKS: Anglers fishing the Condamine River reported on only a few legal fish for their efforts.  The Mill Hole proved to be one of the more successful spots, with one young angler landing 2 Golden Perch on Sunday afternoon on a spinnerbait.  We also received reports of a few smaller fish being landed in the Wheatvale area.
