Post by: Yak Fish on October 05, 2012, 01:14:49 PM
Headed out to the Bremer River on Monday with BJM, all up landed 14. 11 to me and 3 to BJM  :P. Even tho I had broke my rod, lost 2 lures and lost about 4 fish it was still a great day, can't wait to hit that spot again  :thumbsup

That was a Great day even though misfortune seemed to follow me!!!!  I'm still amazed we were catching bass throughout the day (8-3.00pm) and where ever you cast there seemed to be a fish   :youbeauty

Can't wait for next time.

Sounds like a great day you pair had and shame about the rod & lures. I headed there yesterday about lunch time and caught 6 so they are obviously still hungry.

I should have went the Bremer this morning. Headed out to Wivenhoe, but the wind was up. Thought I'd try the Brissie at Burton's bridge instead. Wasted my morning. Not even a touch!  I think the Brissie river turkey shoot is well and truly over going by the reports so far this season.

Id say bogans fishing in closed season would have a part in slow fishing. Also same with Colleges really, we used to do really well there, but constantly saw bogans proudly sporting a bucket of 10 or so bass around. After that really, never caught much.

Thats really upsetting,  Are all well know fishing spots like that along the river at the moment???

Not overly sure mate. I had many arguments with people posting pictures on fb of catching bass in closed season. There is no way of knowing if they were keeping them, but they didnt care at all.
