Title: Copperload Dam to open to the public
Post by: aussiebasser on July 23, 2015, 11:09:21 AM
Let me just say that what we all thought were big Barramundi from Awoonga and Peter Faust will soon become average.  Rumour has it, and a couple of photos, that Copperload has some absolute horse size Barra.

Lake Morris (Copperlode Dam) definately has some record breaker barramundi in there...... Well done Cairns Council  :Clap)

A shame that the same vision is not shared by the council at Townsville / Thuringowa where the Ross River Dam is a wasted resource, so close to one of Qld's major cities. Could be a whole recreational industry around that dam; a crying shame.

A good friend of mine lives 5 minutes from Copperload.  He said his kayak will now have a permanent home on the roof of his Troopie.
