Here's another article emaile in to help other members.

It shows a method on putting full length wires through wooden fishing lures.

I assume you should do this before the carving process to reduce risk of it ending up off centre (ease of mounting / holding in drill press).

The side to side variation would be handy for "bent" lures as well, where you cant drill a straight hole through the entire lure.
