Took Flic for a paddle on the Mid Brisbane River after a really good storm this morning.
Got the first bass on the third cast on a spinnerbait around 30cm. Biggest went mid 40s. Was good to see Felicity get a nice 40 odd bass after casting a timber lure right in tight to a snag.
Ended up with about 9 between us, had to leave a good spot that produced 4 bass and paddle past some great country as a storm approached. Was a good light show with sheet lightning all over on the fast paddle to the extraction point.
Got a few pics and video, will post them when I get the laptop back from the computer doctor.

The river today is the color of chocolate. Must be some good water flowing down Lockyer Creek after 4 /12 inches of rain up there saturday.

63mm in 1 hour recorded during yesterdays storm at Gatton, that'll get the crik running for sure

Saturday night's storm was the best for rain, 100mm out of that one, over flowed my dam and my tanks. I'll be whinging about mowing soon.

Didn't quite fill the tank here (even after replacing leaking down pipe last week), grass is going nuts here already .... :'(

I mowed here on Friday. Already needs doing again. Plenty of rain here Saturday. No power from 9pm to about 5am. Went to Troy Basser Daley's concert at Mt Cotton last night. Bugger all rain there. Kasey Chambers was awesome too.

The Brisbane River is looking clearer today. Is a fishable color now, but that could change with more rain & flows down the Lockyer Creek and other feeder creeks.
