Title: Tips wanted for Hinze Dam Gold Coast
Post by: fishbuddy on January 28, 2015, 12:08:25 PM
Hi guys, I have developed and marketed a product for many years now called ##########(formerly ####### named after the inventor). My video on the website [website blocked as no return link - Admin] is on estuary fishing and one of my customers suggested I do a video using the product for freshwater fishing as that is where most of the orders come from. I live on the Gold Coast and need some tips for bait fishing in the Hinze Dam please. I have zilch experience......where's the best spot/s, type of bait (where to get), time of day and anything else. Really appreciate your help. Ta. Greg

Thanks Ray. I need to fish from the bank. Without me having to do a reccie, is the eastern arm accessible without a boat?

Went to the eastern arm for a fish today. The dam has risen around 4 to 5 feet and there is only about 20 feet to the left of the ramp accessable for shore based fishing unless you wish to scramble through 4 feet high grass.
Fishing was ok with plenty of bass available in amongst the snags. We ended up with 45 bass and one tandan and lost a lot of fish in the snags.
Cheers
