To the best of my knowlege Cooloolabin Dam has never had a fish stocking program in place. However there was one local fish hatchery who (I'm told) used to dump excess Golden Perch, Silver Perch and Bass into the lake, some to be recaught for brood stock later on. Numbers stocked will never be known.

I've previously made enquiries about kicking off a program there & had discussions with a few locals & council before the SEQWater takeover of SEQ dams / lakes.

What is really needed for this beautiful little lake to become a reality are some locals who are willing to put their hands up to run a program, setting it up is quite easy.

Cheers,
