while hiking around the lake recently i saw a new waterhole created by the floods below the spillway of lake manchester.
I had some spare time tuesday arvo so i decided to check it out as this whole area was underwater during the recent floods so i figured anything could still be lurking in there.
It was a really fun afternoon with me and a mate probably getting over 50 fish each, with him getting 4 fish in the first 4 casts. Even though they were all just spangled perch it was still fun to try out a few lures and i got my first fish on a surface lure.
unfortunately i think most of the fish will be stuck in the hole once the spillway stops overflowing because the creek flowing out will stop running and was really shallow even when i were there. I don't know how that will go because they seemed to be pretty hungry already taking nearly every lure thrown in.

G'day Messy
Reckon those spanglies are destined to be bird tucker if the creek dries up as well.. You could chuck em back in the dam I guess. You'll be getting things like that all over atm.. Bad luck for the fish, good fortunes for the fish eaters ;)
