Salmon of this size are plentiful supply and Craigbourne Dame and Meadowbank Lake.

During the last week of November the IFS delivered 350 Atlantic salmon to Craigbourne Dam and 400 to Meadowbank Lake. These fish averaged 2.5 kg and were donated by Tassal. This is the last of a series of stockings courtesy of the commercial salmon industry for 2012. In the heat of summer it is not practical to transport salmon for stocking.

Southern based anglers should take advantage of these stocking as it means there are now good quantities of salmon available in both Craigbourne Dam and Meadowbank Lake and these are likely to last into the new year. Remember there is a five fish bag limit with no more than two fish over 600 mm at these waters.
