Hey mate. Not the hardest thing to catch. Opera House traps are the best. For bait i prefer cat/dog food, half boiled potato or rock melon. There are heaps of other things you can use. Do a quick search and you'll find heaps. I generally start putting my traps in around 15 foot. If i do no good there i may put them in shallower or out deeper. Scatter a few traps at different depths and take notice where ya get the most. I usaully look for some kind of structure when going for them. This may be a weed bank or fallen timber.

Just get out a a spot and try mate. Plenty of dams have good numbers now and im sure ya will get a few.

G'day and welcome to Sweetwater. Jordo has pretty much covered it, in regards to Red Clawing. However Binder is also a guru when it comes to catching Red Claw and has some great hints.

Here's such an article Andrew wrote for anyone wanting to catch a feed of Red Claw. Just scroll down the page until you find his article.

Plenty of fish in certain spots below wall of somerset.... well there use to be but ain fished it in a while. I've never redclawed there but i got a mate who runs a big property on the stanley and they recon they get heaps in some spots. Always worth a try anywhere these days down in them parts.

Cressy is a hit and miss fishery these days. Sometimes you can have good days and sometimes nothing. There is redclaw in there. There were heaps in there after the rise last year but they got a flogging. Still plenty in there and worth trying for.
