Title: Glenlyon Dam set to overflow
Post by: Sweetwater on December 16, 2010, 02:53:49 PM
Just had a call from Brian & Debbie at Glenlyon Dam Tourist Park.
Glenlyon Dam is currently at 98% and is set to overflow in a few days. The last time this dam over flowed as in 1999.

Currently the Severn & Mole Rivers are running & therefore the Dumaresq River is flowing well. Good rain in the Stanthorpe area in the past coulple of days should see even more water running down the Severn River.

Fitzy..

Father has been sitting out there soaking shrimp for 6 days without a bite (well except for the kangaroos that raided his tent and ate all his food!) 2 Big storms today, he's hoping that will switch the fish on.

Had 2 ft to go last night. It stormed all night from 3pm yesterday and Brian tipped it would overflow around 6 tonight. We had to come home via Tenterfield as Pikes creek was one foot over at 6am and rising with lots of logs and debris.
 Cheers
