I think the Noosa River is the only one without a barrier anywhere in SEQ

I have heard that there has been no recruitment in the Noosa the last couple of years, Anyone caught any small bass under 20cm there recently?
Cheers
Ray

As a general rule, most of the local bass in noosa river are quite small, sure theres cracka fish in there too but overall, id say a lot are 20cm ish.
they are quite thick shouldered and appear slightly different to the mary river bass, same fish, just different habitat up in the reedy  freshwater holes.
up at harrys hut a couple of months ago, my lure was getting followed by some very small bass well under 10/15cm.

Under 20cm could possibly be 6 or even 7 years old, maybe more.

Saw one from Brisbane River that was 23cm & 7 y/o.

Noosa river with acidic / tannin waters probably have poorer growth rates compared to the Brisbane R.

Off topic a little bit, however from the above comments relative.....here's a link worth reading if anyone is interested regarding the growth rate of bass in the Noosa R. https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/67053/14-NFHITF-Noosa-Tiver-Bass-Suntag.pdf
