Title: callide barra stocking 29/01/11
Post by: k.hutchby on January 29, 2011, 05:53:15 PM
hi guys
just a quick one. the callide stocking group put 18,100 x 80 mm barra into callide dam morning. heaps of new ground for the fingerlings to spread their legs, an exciting new chapter for the biloela and visiting fishing community. dam looks nice and green at the moment.

cheers

Fond memories of Callide, hooked my first impoundment barra there, a lot of years ago!
Good to see some fish going in.

Callide has a few dimensions to it. While in the region it seems to be the Awoonga's poorer cousin, it does produce some very good Golden Perch, Sleepy Cod and Saratoga. Being inland it is commonly a good option if the coast is a blowout.

The fish restocking group are a great crew. Good to see the barra input.  :thumbsup

Thanks for the report Kurt.  :tick

fitz..
