Magnificent Mary

Had my first River fish of the season today on the Mary,after recent heavy rain here the river was flowing and dirty but still managed 8 hookups and got done over 3 times in heavy timber.

Nice work PD. Did you pull any from that dirty run off water? Is there a color change line where it enters the river?

Fitz, mate all the fish came from that timbered creek off the main river,it was actually cleaner than the main river although the pic doesn't show it that way,when it cleans up there will be some great bassin to be had in the main river,the flow in the river was still quite strong,hopefully some barra will use the fishway on the barrage and escape the nets in the lower Mary for a while anyway.
