Following a month of some of the best Bass and Golden Perch fishing in the Dams history it is now a bit more challenging for Anglers. There still been some good catches over the Australia Day long weekend but not in the numbers of previous weeks. It seemed you only had to put your toe in the water at one stage and you would have a bite! There are plenty of undersized bass and an occasional keeper still being caught which is great for Anglers in the near future. Patient Anglers trawling and using live bait around the banks, particularly near the old ski club area are still catching good sized Goldens.
Red Claw crayfish are still a bit slow but those in the know where to place their traps are still catching a feed.
