Title: Glenlyon Dam

Has anyone been to Glenlyon dam lately, heading up there in a couple of weeks. Targeting murray cod on spinnerbaits.

Mate I haven't fished Glen Lyon for a while, but there are some really big Cod there I've seen 'em. Ask Brian or Debbie and they'll tell you what's happening. The biggest Cod I've ever seen was up by the dam wall a couple of months back getting into spawning mode. Brian and I agreed it had to be close to 1.5m. If you get a spinnerbait on him you'r better hang on for dear life. Best bet is to find an area with plenty of snags (there's no shortage) and drop your spinnerbait down in the shady part. It doesn't be right next to the snag as long as there's shade. You may have to repeat the performance a few times up to 20 or so. Besy of luck.
