River banks to be fixed after flood damage

If they go replanting trees, these farmers need to keep their stock off the banks. They all run pumps from the river anyway, therefore no need for stock to be in the river.

Unfortunately some of the rehab work that I have seen has been little more than smoothing out the bank, removal of snags and regrown with grass. Ready for the next flow to rip the bank to bits again.

Both links appear to be the same to me.
They will also have to be careful as because in my opinion the snags and riverside trees have to stay as they slow down the water and provide fish habitat. The last thing we need is something that will just provide a fast flowing gutter which may prevent some flooding will also devastate local wildlife.
How about stopping the gravel extraction in the upper reaches of the brisbane river.
Dig a hole and extract the gravel. The river speeds up the banks fall in dig out the gravel again never ending process.

Farmers simply do not care about bank erosion they are only concerned about there cattle getting water that's it.

Sorry Ray, my mistake. My iPad has a badly cracked screen and it gives me grief while doing the cut n paste.
I can't find the earlier article now, but it was about a Fernvale landholder complaining about the erosion to his banks.
