Park Closure Upper Noosa River 16 February 2013 until further notice
This alert applies to the following parks:
Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National Park
Due to recent heavy rainfall in the Noosa River catchment area, localised flash flooding has occurred in the upper Noosa River. Further moderate to heavy rainfall has also been forecast.
Visitors and tour operators are advised the upper Noosa River is CLOSED to the public until further notice including:
Access to the upper Noosa River (north of Kinaba)
Harrys Hut camping (all rvier and vehicle access camping)
Harrys Hut access road
Upper Noosa River camp sites 1 - 15
Fig Tree camping and day-use area
All walking tracks.
For your safety, please do not enter these areas until further notice.
